Centre Kids Sunday Mornings
Nursery (Available During Sunday School & Worship)
We have a nursery available for our youngest children (9 months - Pre-K) throughout the Sunday school and Worship hours. Check-in for Nursery is in our children's wing. Greeters are available at the door to help direct you.
9:00 am Centre Kids Sunday School Classes
From 9-10:15am on Sundays we offer classes with Bible lessons, crafts, and games. We want the kids to know that the church is a place where they belong and are valued. Our goal is for children to become familiar with scripture so as they grow it will take on a depth of meaning in their life. Just as importantly, we want them to experience the love and care of the church community that will make them feel comfortable, joyful, and welcome. Check-in for Sunday School is located at the Fellowship hall doors.
10:30 am Children's Church*
Children's Church is an opportunity for children from Kindergarten through 5th grade to hear God's word in an age-appropriate way. After starting out in our regular 10:30 am worship service, children will be dismissed to our Children's Church volunteers for a class in the children's wing for the remainder of the service. Volunteers are available at the front door to check-in your children, learn about any allergies or special needs, and answer any questions you may have about the classes.
Child Safety Policy
At Centre Church we highly value child safety. We have a robust child saftey policy and require all volunteers to complete background checks, and child safety training through Praesidium Academy. Childrens' activities require at least 2 adults at all times and children are never left unaccompanied. Parents are welcome to visit the classrooms and ask any questions they may have about our protocol. We desire to create the safest possible environment for children so we always welcome feedback.
* Please note that the first Sunday of every month is Family Worship Sunday. There will be a nursery, but no children's class. The first Sunday of each month is set apart for Family Worship. While we want to teach children God's Word in an age-appropriate way, once a month we let the kids to participate in corporate worship so they can learn about "big church" and so all will remember the vital role Children have in the life of our congregation. On family worship Sundays there will be a kids' moment during the serivce and an activity bulletin for them color and complete that is related to the sermon.
