The Visioning Team met September 8th and 9th and continued to work toward
determining our Vision for Centre Church. We started with the question "What do we do better than ten thousand other churches?" And secondly, "What are we ultimately supposed to be doing?" To accomplish this new Vision we need a Missional Mandate as a path to get us where we want to go as a church.

As we reorient our identity to “be the Church” we must/should have the
following characteristics:

• Remember Center exist for those outside the church
• Eliminate any “us versus them” mentality with outsiders
• Emphasize “being the church” 24/7
• Reinforce the life-style of engaging in relationships and conversations with
  others
• Define the process of both evangelism and discipleship

We spent our time together determining what our mandate will be to carry out
our new Vision. Our next session will be Saturday October the  14th and we will further explore what our vison and mandate mean to Centre Church.
