This weekend is an exciting step in the transition process. Rev. Ellen Gardner is coming into town for the first of several guided meetings that will help us discover who we are as a church and what we believe God is calling us to do.

One part of this process will be a meeting with the vision team. The vision team will be made up of Pastor Logan Keck, the elders, and 2 people who have been regular attenders at the Table service - Merrilynne Henderson and Brian Martin. This group will have their first meeting from 9am to 4pm on Saturday. The hope is that over the next several months, this process will help us discern God's preferred plan for Centre's future. This will include understanding where we are in the life cycle of a church, who we have been in the past, what mission field God has placed around us, and what our "piece of the kingdom pie" might be.

If you have questions about what all that means, you're in luck! On Sunday, July 9th we have a town hall meeting to tell you all about it. Sunday after worship, the whole Congregation will meet in the fellowship hall for lunch as Revs. Dori Little and Ellen Campbell Gardner lead us through a report on the results of June’s listening sessions, and a full description of the visioning process. After the presentation, they will take time to answer any remaining questions.

Finally, Ellen will administer a Spiritual Giftedness Evaluation of each member. The Spiritual Gifts Evaluation will offer vital information to the vision team in their second session in August, and help us all figure out ways we can best serve and participate in the mission of the church.
