New to Centre Presbyterian Church or even church in general? Below you’ll find everything you need to know so you feel comfortable stepping into this new environment. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us and we’d be happy to help!

WHEN & WHERE

We worship every sunday in the Historic Meeting House at 10:30am. Enter through the front double doors where a Greeter will hand you a bulletin outlining the worship service as well as sharing prayer requests, announcements, upcoming events, and more. Simply pick a pew that looks comfortable for you and have a seat, but don’t be surprised if regular attendees reach out to introduce themselves and say hello! We also have children's bulletins with content made specifically for our younger attenders.

WHAT TO WEAR

Centre Church has no dress code. We enourage you to come as you are. Pastors typically wear a tie or button down shirt and coat, but our members wear wide variety of clothing from t-shirts to full suits and nice dresses.

WHO & WHAT

Our worship services are led by a team. The head pastor (though occasionally our associate pastor or a guest pastor) will give the sermon and lead the bulk of the worship service in conjunction with our associate pastor while the worship leader leads the congregation in moments of song. Sometimes other members may provide the church with announcements and we offer to everyone in the congregation, new or old, to share prayer requests and praises. Don’t feel too worried if you’re not ready for lots of physical or vocal participation, as Presbyterians we tend to be a more reserved bunch, however, we love it when our congregation feels led to sing out, lift their hands, or even shout out an “Amen!” Do whatever feels true to yourself and don’t worry about what others may think as it is only God’s opinion that matters and He values when a person worships Him genuinely.

STILL UNSURE?

If you’re still feeling hesitant to step into this new setting, you might take comfort in becoming familiar with a typical worship service by watching one from home or on your mobile device first. Our services stream live each week on YouTube so you can get a good idea of what to expect by watching one. Though we are happy to provide this option for those homebound, out of town, or curious about the church, we urge you to come visit us in person and experience the true meaning of community and worship.

We hope to see you on Sunday!
